Nonsense, they received support as the major opposition party because of widespread support for their platform. Calling them traitors no more makes them so than saying the Republican party should be banned because TDS Democrats say Republicans are traitors.

I see almost everyone commenting here has been consistently a Putin or Russia supporter for the past 4 months. I do think it is important to keep watch on this kind of trend. Where does the line separating a pro-Russian opposition and a loyal opposition lie? Ukraines president has worked hard and courageously to keep his country from being conquered. That is hard enough work to also have to be dealing with other Ukrainians at work trying to undermine his efforts for the country. Does membership in EU have provisions for looking at this issue before granting membership? If the Russians can ever be sent home, then more political liberalism can be considered and reestablished.
Next month, they will begin seizing property of anyone accused of being pro Russian!
Can you imagine the fear and chaos that is coming, it will be like the French revolution.

Admittedly not quite a free country by my high standards (neither is the current year USA), but Russia has lots of opposition. Even a Communist Party (that doesn't amount to anything).
