Probably a lot with PTSD before it was called PTSD.
IIRC, did not he have throat cancer and have to talk through one of those voice things?
If so, good for him to make it so far.
True.......................
I think Oprah Winfrey was just cast in the role.
I have a friend who got out of the Navy and rode from Norfolk Virginia to Northern Minnesota on a Harley that had very loud pipes after the fact he told me he couldn’t hear for 4 or 5 days and he would never do that again without suitable ear protection.

They are also mentioned in the Tom Wolfe book about Ken Kesey and the Merry Pranksters - "The Electric Kool-Aid Test".
The Hells Angels were usually very intimidating to other people during the 1960s but according to the book, the Merry Pranksters were so darn weird that even the Hells Angels were taken aback.
It’s terrible to admit admiring him but compared to the gangbangers who indiscriminately kill innocents, he’s a real “angel”
Loud bikes don’t bother country folk too much. Ever hea a John Deere with straight pipes?
It’s the idiots who move to the country and complain about harvest time, cows mooing and “burning barns” that gets under our skin.
“his was in 1979”
On October 27, 2001, full-patch Hells Angels members Kevin J. Augustiniak and Michael Christopher “Mesa Mike” Kramer, and prospective member Paul Merle Eischeid murdered Cynthia Yvonne Garcia, a forty-four year-old mother of six who verbally disrespected the club and its members while in an intoxicated state during a party at the Hells Angels’ clubhouse in Mesa. After beating Garcia unconscious, the three bikers loaded her into the trunk of a car and drove her into the desert near the Salt River where they stabbed her twenty-seven times and attempted to decapitate her.

“I dont think it was them”
I think it was them.
“That Hunter Thompson book “Hells Angels” was a great read. If I recall, many of the Angels were not fond of the book and I think he got beat up one time over it.”
‘They are also mentioned in the Tom Wolfe book about Ken Kesey and the Merry Pranksters - “The Electric Kool-Aid Test”.’
Yep, Hell’s Angels found out Thompson was actually doing research for the book when he was riding and hanging around with them, he got stomped in a bar. They were PO’d he was going to get paid for the book and wasn’t going to split it with them. Probably didn’t help that Thompson road a Limey bike, a BSA Ligthning, and that it would outrun Harleys.
“The Electric Kool-Aid Acid Test”. You’re either on the bus or off the bus.
My niece defended a member on a gruesome murder charge. He barely tried to defend himself. As the jury was coming back he turned to her and said something to the effect of, “ You did a good job and I am grateful. If you ever need anything, my brothers will help you out.”
So…she has that going for her.
In terms of civilians, they are pretty tame. As a MC rider you don’t break into their pack. You just let them by.
If you break down it is likely they will stop and help…like any other biker.
The whole biker world is pretty nice.
“His death was announced in a Facebook post reading:
If you are reading this message, you’ll know that I’m gone. I’ve asked that this note be posted immediately after my passing.
I’ve lived a long and good life filled with adventure. And I’ve had the privilege to be part of an amazing club. Although I’ve had a public persona for decades, I’ve mostly enjoyed special time with my club brothers, my family, and close friends. Please know that I passed peacefully after a brief battle with cancer. But also know that in the end, I was surrounded by what really matters: My wife, Zorana, as well as my loved ones. Keep your head up high, stay loyal, remain free, and always value honor.
Sonny
HAMCO”
Not a bad farewell message. The guy had no regrets.
I had a friend who owned a pan head. He fabricated his own exhaust. Straight pipes that turned out at the end.
I remember when riding beside him, he could roll in to the throttle and the pressure waves from the pipes would really hurt my eardrums. No way I could have rode beside that bike for any long distance.
You’re an idiot.
I grew up with cow pastures on three sides of my house. Idiot bikers do bother me, and every neighbor I know.
I live on a family farm and raised cows and bikers and their rolling thunder” went down the highway almost every weekend during good weather didn’t cause us as much trouble as idiot urban dwellers who moved next to us and complained about everything associated with a working farm.
Go back to your sensitive urban hellhole, dipsh*t.
I’d have more respect for them if they served their nation by paying a visit to antifa and other assorted communists.
They attacked a peace march from Berkeley back in the sixties. Dumb hippies thought the Angels would be on their side.
somebody said he was in the Altamont Stones video but I cant figure out which one. Supposedly the dude staring down Mick but it doesnt look like him
Barger’s rant on the phone call to the radio show was epic.
Ah, a biker. You are an inconsiderate ass.
