Jail for Jack Dorsey? If Elon Musk's charge that Twitter lied about the prevalence of bots in its traffic proves true, that would constitute securities fraud

I think Musk has been step ahead from the beginning..
If he truly wants to buy Twatter, it will happen but at a much lower price.

“Musk could face incarceration”

Musk might wind up paying a financial penalty for violating the contract, but I can’t imagine any likely scenario where he would face incarceration. Jack Dorsey is another matter, fraud can be prosecuted criminally.

As if Heinrich Garland would ever go after a major ally of the totalitarian left.

Twitter’s shareholders have all the legal standing they need to pursue separate legal action against the Twitter board for securities fraud. And the SEC may be compelled to act if these shareholders make a strong case.

and musk is a shareholder...............................

I thought Musk said he couldn’t get the data to determine the number of bots. How can he say Twitter’s lying if he doesn’t have the info?

Maybe Twitter is a FedGov operation.
No problem. Elon is no stranger to receiving government, AKA taxpayer, largess.

It’s not just Twitter that uses bots to fake up traffic. Political groups use them to fake up support. Websites use them to fake up hits to get income.

Last I heard, Jack Dorsey is on some remote island in the South Pacific. Doubt there is an extradition treaty at his secluded location.

Shareholders can sue in CIVIL COURT...

Only the state/Fed can bring criminal charges.

Maybe it was Musk’s intention all along to expose Twitter fraud.

I’m sure liar dirtbag Dorsey is at the heart of this scandal. He was the one that Musk took into his confidence and was encouraging Musk to buy Twitter. Dorsey, although no longer running Twitter while on the board, had a chunk of stock and would benefit by Musk’s offer. No doubt Dorsey was telling him that the bots were only in the 5% range when he knew this not to be true. The guy is pure slime.

If Elon loses he will face a fine, not Alcatraz:

If Twitter loses, it will face a flood of lawsuits from everyone it lied to.

Donald Trump himself reacted to Musk’s filing that seeks to pull out of the $44 billion deal to buy Twitter, saying he believed the move was inevitable.

See here:

https://www.breitbart.com/politics/2022/07/09/donald-trump-elon-musk-pulling-out-twitter-deal-called-early/

Trump, who himself owns the Truth Social platform, told Breitbart News, “I knew that Twitter had a lot of the fake accounts because I read, like everyone else does.”

“I thought that the price was exorbitant,” Trump added, referring to the $44 billion price tag Musk committed to in the agreement with the Twitter board.

Twitter has said that bots or automated accounts make up less than 5 percent of the total accounts, a claim Musk disputes. His legal team said in the July 8 filing that Twitter has failed to give him sufficient access to its data to carry out his own analysis, while essentially arguing that the company misrepresented its monetizable daily active user counts and so broke the terms of their agreement.
