I am totally opposed to the vaccines, would never get one myself, and I am fanatically opposed to vaccine mandates of all kinds.
However, there is a long history of using military recruits for medical experimentation including dangerous and ineffective vaccines.
So—I view this particular issue as situation normal, all &^%$ed up—in other words, normal military stuff.

Until they can at least get it resolved as to the viability of the shots(this could take forever) the military should just drop the whole issue. The military(to my knowledge) used to treat for certain communicable diseases which were acquired voluntarily without ushering individuals out of the service. These individuals actually had something wrong with them; weren’t just suspect of acquiring a certain disease.
It's not just the kids. I received an invitation to the Academy's Ring Melt ceremony this year. Number 1 on the list of requirements for attendance was proof of Covid vaccination.
