Whats happened in SF so far this year is pushback by a rather small minority -parents for instance, which are indeed a small group there. These people can have an effect in low turnout offyear elections. But a Presidential year will bring back 2020 toute de suite.
The SF political problem is not really the prevalence of the homeless or the mad. They are very visible but a tiny share of the population. And there are rather few black people in SF, contrary to appearances, and they are no longer much of a factor in SF elections - in themselves.
The real problem are the liberal white bien pensants, usually recent college grads and middle age women, who vote on the basis of fashion.

She was appointed, not elected.
Dont count your chickens, because IIRC she will have to run for the position soon to keep it.

Good start. And given that that deposed POS DA had undoubtedly hired fellow incompetent sewer dwellers for his staff, that firing will hopefully reduce the smell of the city a bit. What's also needed is to replace the liberal judges who give the criminals "slap on the wrist sentences" and the parole boards who let the criminals out early for "good behavior".

yep, there really seems to be hope with Jenkins as the DA.
I would expect the DA of a city like San Fransickshow to look like this:
