Anybody who says they’d be ok with AOC as president (if Trump doesn’t get nominated by Republicans) has removed himself from reasonable discussion and can’t be considered conservative, or even rational
That person is basically threatening to throw himself on the floor and do a kicking and screaming temper tantrum if the GOP doesn’t give him Trump
That weirdo has flat out said he’d prefer Abrams in GA over Kemp, so of course he’d prefer AOC over Desantis.
Who do you blame for the Fauci fear-mongering, the shutdowns and the businesses ruined by the PlanDemic?
If you blame Donald Trump, you are clueless.
Seriously? A true "I'll take my ball and go home" kind of guy? Wow.
Well, that's his right. But I don't think that mindset from a limited number of Trump voters will discourage others from supporting whomever they think best in the primary.
You do not understand.
You are the one advocating for AOC or whomever and choosing it.
It’s your choice.
How pragmatic are you going to be?
Yes. And your position is therefore for the Brandon regime to win.
How much do you want that.
Are you willing to be pragmatic?
Nothing will undo the 2020 election. It happened, and Biden is now President. To the extent things need to be investigated, or people punished criminally, that's state level stuff. Much of it was bogus decisions by state courts, and you can't prosecute that.
2024 is about who will be the best candidate/President in 2024. If there are some hardcore Trumpers who won't vote for anyone but Trump in the general election, I'd imagine they'd be mostly offset anyway by those who are turned off by Trump.
So, I'm just voting for whomever I think would be the best candidate in 2024, just as I voted for who I thought would be the best candidate in 2020.
How pragmatic will you be.
Any Republican but Trump will lose.
I’m telling you.
Get it?
I’ll ask again. How pragmatic will you be?
I personally think Trump loses in 2024 against anyone but Biden. I just think he has alienated too many swing voters, and he seems to be doubling down on the ultra-combative approach that alienates them. So it'll get worse, not better. And, I believe a lot of voters are going to be extraordinarily leery of electing someone who will be older than Biden was when he took office.
I'm sure you think that's wrong, but I think you're wrong, so we're even. So, by supporting DeSantis, I am being pragmatic.

You are very unintelligent and slow witted.
I am telling you in advance, no tricks, no subterfuge, any candidate who runs against Trump and does not support Trump if Trump runs is dead in the water in the general if he were to garner the nomination over Trump.
Do you understand that? It’s not an argument.
It is an FYI so you can make the right decision.
You are so right.
Never Trumpers and democrats support anyone they think can damage Trump. DeSantis backs Trump ...
Well, I'll give you credit for having perfected the "nah-nah, boo-boo, I'm right and you're just a poopyhead" form of argument. Problem is that we're not in first grade anymore. Okay, well at least I'm not.
Do you understand that? It’s not an argument.
Actually, it is an argument. That's exactly what we're having here. Guess you're class hasn't hit that word on the vocabulary test yet.
As best as I can tell -- because you haven't really spelled it out so I'm kinda guessing here -- you think that huge masses of Trump voters will refuse to vote for (say) DeSantis if he wins the nomination over Trump. And I'm betting you're wrong. I'm betting that a lot of folks will say that right now, and during the campaign, just the same as all those people who voted for someone other than Trump in the 2016 primaries said they wouldn't vote for him in the general, but did anyway. I think when push comes to shove, they'll rally around the nominee (as long as he/she is a conservative), and vote for the conservative.
And I believe that because I believe the vast majority of conservatives/Republicans love their country more than any one person, and will end up voting for a good GOP nominee even if it wasn't Trump. There are some who love the man more than the country, and won't. But I'm betting they're going to be a relatively small minority - and a smaller number than the number of extra voters a good nominee might attract.
I'm sure you disagree with that, and believe that you and tens of millions of other Trumpers will happily push the country over the cliff just for spite. Now, you've managed to convince me that you value the man over the country, but I think you're closer to the exception than the rule. Or maybe you're just playing the bluff game, thinking the best way to convince people to vote for Trump is to threaten them if they don't. Maybe it's all an act on your part too.
The only caveat I'll have is that a GOP nominee who trashes Trump would have a hard time winning back those votes for the general. But I also believe that Reagan's 11th Commandment is the right one to follow if you're challenging Trump. Don't blast Trump -- just talk about what is good about your candidacy because the voters already know all about Trump anyway.
This is not an argument. Or a discussion.
I am telling you.
You are beginning to understand.
Would you rather have Trump or the Brandon candidate.
After much careful thought and deliberation, I have decided you are very, very wrong.
“After much careful thought and deliberation, I have decided you are very, very wrong.”
Wrong about what?
Back to the issue.
Would you rather have Trump or Brandon (any of them)?
I think it is Trump who is virtually unelectable in 2024. I'd vote for him in the general election over a Democrat, but he is almost certainly going to lose if he is the nominee.
