The weapons our Founding Fathers were familiar with were state of the art in their day, they expected their CITIZENS to be armed with the same weapons.
They expected their CITIZENS to be able to fight off not only criminals and insurrectionists, but also the militaries of foreign countries and THEIR OWN COUNTRY IF NECESSARY!
AMERICANS were EXPECTED to keep and bear any arms they could afford and field—EVEN UP TO THERMONUCLEAR WEAPONS!
An ARMED PERSON is a CITIZEN; an UNARMED PERSON is a SLAVE!

The gun grabbers are in “good” company. The humanoid who created the drag queen story hour came out in favor of strict gun control. A few years ago Pervy Weinstein said he’s making it his mission to destroy the NRA. Why would someone in the trick bag he’s in say such a thing? The rampant sex abuse and child molestation in the sleazy world of show biz has been a poorly kept dirty little secret for over 100 yrs. No wonder why so many individuals who are “light in the loafers” with a “flair for the dramatic” are so hoplophobic. And this is why the overpaid mannequins in Hellywood love to throw their star power behind the gun grabbers. After all sex abuse victims capable of shooting back in self defense are BAD FOR BUSINESS
There is nothing obsolete about those firearms so long as they are in good working order and you have ammunition to feed it.
Their obsolescence is debatable, and I’d rather not get into such debate without first defining terms. They’re certainly as effective as ever. In a hypothetical war in which one side is armed with M1s and the other with K98s, I’d rather be on the M1 side ... ;’}
