This situation was indeed “super obvious” so that doesn’t apply. See the comments above saying that the quotes he was sued for were fabricated, even though they are recorded and were played in court. Some people simply do not care at all what the truth is - just want to spin narratives.
Can’t argue that it can’t be abused, it certainly can. That does not mean these parents did not have a legitimate course of action for what was done to them. They did. They were defamed, not merely had their “feelings hurt” because someone said something about them they didn’t like.

You have to be stupid or compromised to think that is what the founders meant.
The whole purpose of the clause is to prevent foreigners from the office.
Therefore, anyone who has more than ONE nationality cannot be a natural born citizen.
Simple logic that people fight against for many reasons.
Some are fans of children of foreigners (Cruz, Rubio, Haley, Jindal, George P Bush), some have married foreigners and their children are not natural born citizens and it hurts their feelings, some are children of foreigners and are not natural born citizens themselves and it hurts their feelings.
