In 2012, I evaluated 4,442 essays penned by 5th grade students. The topic prompt was a trade secret, protected by horrific blood oaths, but, loosely paraphrased, goes “who do you respect?”
Unsurprisingly, 25-35% of the kids admired Barak or Michelle.
The number of Romney enthusiasts in that election year was much easier to count.

NOT even 1%. One out of 4,442 students thought that Romney had heroic stature.
At that point, I knew that the fight was fixed, the game was rigged, and the willing patsy selected to take a dive.
