“A rose by any other name would smell as sweet” is a popular adage from William Shakespeare’s play Romeo and Juliet, in which Juliet seems to argue that it does not matter that Romeo is from her family’s rival house of Montague. The current version of monkeypox has been spread by person-to-person contact in a very large number of cases.

Based on all of that, the questions become 1. What changed between the previous version and the current version, and 2. What caused that change.
