Unfortunately this is correct. There won’t be much left to buy anyway as so many of the major manufacturers have already caved in ...
Never relent
It will be old smokers and cooking oil to get around on. I plan on keeping my old iron for such repurposing, hell the new crap with all the emmission stuff on it is not reliable anyway.
It’ll be mad max style.
Sd that stupidity may come to this.

Automobile manufacturers have complied with California CARB regs since the 1970s. At the state level, most states did not require CARB compliance but this did not slow down the auto manufactures getting into lockstep for nationwide rollout.

Laws were not needed for manufacturer collusion although eventually the EPA caught up via regulations to make CARB regulations legally functional nationwide.

CARB killed the 60s muscle car.

I wish someone would start running podcasts on the carbon footprint of “green energy”!!!

From what I’ve read of making an EV battery, the carbon footprint is through the roof!!! A large part of the batteries, solar panels and windmills are not recyclable.

I also read the average cost of driving a normal car is 19¢/mile, EV is 43¢.”

This is war on the middle class.

Thanks for the additional detail about dates and CARB.

You wrote “Laws were not needed for manufacturer collusion although eventually the EPA caught up via regulations to make CARB regulations legally functional nationwide.”

That is EXACTLY what is going on today with EVs and banning gasoline cars, only it is being greatly accelerated compared to what happened in the late 20th century with regard to emission controls.

California started it. The auto makers got tired of building two products, one for CA and one for the rest of the country, and all states fell in line before the EPA made the regs national in scope.

expensive electric cars and the banning of gas vehicles helps them with their climate change goals which is a world wide scam of control and only control

Thank you for that information. I can pass it along to friends who have antique cars.
