Oberlin almost certainly had to put up substantial assets — including its real estate — as “collateral” for the bond.

In most (if not all) states, a court judgment creates a lien on all real estate owned by the judgment debtor in the state.

Of course you’re right and maybe there’s even more of a silver lining: perhaps they’ll have to sell securities on which they’ve taken a loss already due to the progressive policies they love so much

The college will raise the tuition and the democrats will cancel it later on and the whole nation will pay the cost.

I suspect most if not all of the 936 is spoken for/dedicated to paying loans.

Anyway, I can dream that the county sheriff will auction off the entirety of that evil institution.
