What happened in Ukraine is absolutely, 100% the result of the meddling we've done in Ukraine under Obama and Biden, specifically under Anthony Blinken, Victoria Nuland and Jake Sullivan.
We fomented a revolution, with Lindsey Graham and John McCain egging on neo-Nazis, that caused an eight-year civil war and led to the persecution and genocide of the ethnic Russian population.
We armed Ukraine with offensive weapons and were running biolabs with deadly pathogens in them, something we sure as hell wouldn't tolerate if Russia or China were doing the same thing in Mexico.
The Russians came to us in December trying avoid this war. All the wanted was guarantee Ukraine wouldn't join NATO, would remain neutral and abide by the Minsk Agreement, which it signed would have allowed state-like autonomy for Donetsk and Lugansk.
This wouldn't be happening under Trump. Trump has repeatedly said we should have negotiated an end to this war. But, the globalists and neocons WANTED this war to occur in order to stick to Putin and Russia no matter how much the people of Ukraine suffered.

What is true, though, is that Ukraine is the heart of neo-Nazism in world. There are more than 150 monuments and/or streets honoring Nazi collaborator Stepan Bandera. Little kids are even forced to sing songs about Bandera.
So, the Russians certain view this as a redo of WWII. And, in WWII, even we aligned with the Soviets to defeat the Nazis.

From what I’ve read, the battle flag of the Revolution has the same meaning in Russia as our various battle flags do in parts of the USA.
Russians see the hammer & sickle as representing workers and farmers. Perhaps something like the DFL in Minnesota.
Same for the red star, which is all over their country.
It is their history.
They survived communism and the majority do not want it again. Close to 90% support Putin and something similar support the military operation.
