The California hypocrites won’t burn coal to generate electricity within California. Yet they will import all the coal generated electricity they can get from Nevada, Idaho,, and Wyoming. Without those coal generated imports there would be prolonged blackouts in LA, Sacramento and San Francisco and ensuing riots. Still if the heat wave continues, imports or no imports there will be blackouts and riots.
Must be all the electric cars owners plugging the cars in at once.
Approx 30% of Calif electricity is imported.
CA already buys out of state electricity at higher prices
cuz it helps their carbon output numbers
i wonder how EV sales are doing?
Yes. That was the impetus of the French Revolution.
When the people have no bread, the rulers end up with no head.

Anyone with a brain there will grab as much power as possible if they know blackouts are about to hit. Get your house down to 70F, get your Virtue Signalling Tesla fully charged, due your laundry, take your showers, etc.
Order all state buildings to 85F.
AZ here, too.
The womenfolk at the Chandler compound insist on setting the thermostat low enough to hang meat.
come winter
they can burn them for heat
i hear they burn forever
How are they going to support EV’s? Has it even occurred to them that they might have a problem?
Yup.
Clownifornia
Keeping the EV fully charged and the AC cooled down...
...the electrical equivalent of panic buying.
they should all head over to the executive mansion to keep cool
(Music sting)
Gavin Gruesome,
And his dank, dank, dank darkened cities!
Yeah. Build a bonfire, put some rails on to get them red hot, and then wrap them around nearby trees to cool down in a coil.
California even passed a law banning gasoline-powered lawn mowers, string trimmers, leaf blowers, generators, pressure washers, log splitters and chain saws.
Now, landscaping requires using a lot more electricity.
You can’t fix stupid.
This could wind up being the beginning of the end for this green bullshit.
