So sit back and enjoy the ride.
Thye fat lady is being starved and will not sing
She will be alright, I has popcorn.
The smart ones cheer for whoever in invading your neighborhood.
Liberated civilians are greeting Ukrainian soldiers with tears and hugs.
I watched that part—those last 3 sentences you wrote—and I couldn’t get over how 1919 it was.
Like the newly found Nazi party’s (or Hitler in the hospital recovering from gas) initial complaints—it was World Jewry that stuck a knife in their back, the Kaiser was winning, he was betrayed by the General Staff, along with big banks, the British-French-American financiers... Etc.
Now will they, whether they win or not, form up on the idea of how NATO, like the evil Jews in 1918, betrayed them and they must work to erase the stain and destroy those who hurt them most?
What would a future Nationalist Russia that is convinced it was betrayed by the world look like?
We need to have a good plan to make peace with Russia and the Russian people after this is over.
Using them as a boogie man to get Trump was one of the many things the democrats have done to really screw the world up.
“Putin’s regime is the Nazi one”
This. And if certain posters really cared for the welfare of Russia, maybe they should stop blaming Ukraine for Russia’s problems and consider how Putin and his cronies have robbed their country and held it back all these years.
If you have some spare time that is a wonderous 1300+ page thread on the war since before it began with commentary from current and former military members from around the world (brought together on that forum by virtue of also being wargamers). I highly recommend it.
The Oskil river runs north to south between Kupyansk and Sloviansk. All the Russian forces west of the river and between Kupyansk and Slovianks are going to get swept by a northern advance. After that, all Russian forces between Kyiv and Kupyansk to the Belarusian border are at risk.
In Kherson, Ukraine has a bridgehead at the Inulets River, trying to split Kherson in two. For now Northern Kherson is likely the primary target, southern Kkerson is pretty much stuck.
In Izyum 10,000 Russians are at risk of being trapped, 20,000 are trapped in Kherson. It is reported Russia has 48,000 casualties so far. Assuming a Russian force of 180,000 to 200,000, that means as of now, Russia is looking at total potential losses of 40% to 50%.
Russia is running out of equipment and experienced soldiers they can not replace. Ukraine is making good on its losses and getting stronger daily. This is the situation Japan and the US had during World War II. Japan started strong, and gradually got weaker. The US started weak, and kept getting stronger. So much that by then end of World War II, the US was 50% the global GNP. For Kherson and Izyum there is nothing Russia can do except wait for the inevitable.
When this is over, Ukraine will teach NATO how to fight Russia. Former Eastern European Soviet states will be extremely interested in what Ukraine has to offer.
P.S.
Is it me, or every time Kadyrov or his cronies speak, he acts like a bully hiding behind parents?
The Russians were routed from Izyum and abandoned equipment.

Putin vs. a professional comedian... Ha, ha!
The true extend of this massive offensive is not known.
The Russians are obviously trying to spin it and the Ukrainians are trying not to reveal too much as this is actually a real surprise attack.
First time since run from northern Ukraine, the Russians were really caught with their pants down.
Ukraine pull out a real trick.
They announced offensive in Kherson. Russians pulled some troops there and voila, the Ukraine just crushed them right where they come from, on the other side of the front, in Izyum, formerly the main Russian strongpoint.
This is big!
And, apparently it is still progressing.
Where and how far it will go is everybody guess.
