It really is a David vs. Goliath conflict. Of course, David was no small little boy and neither is Ukraine a small country. Ukraine in size is slightly larger than the combined states of Indiana, Kentucky, Tennessee, Alabama, and Mississippi. All that geography gives the invader lots of problems. Russia’s world record eleven-time-zone gigantic country is decisively smaller in population than Nigeria.
At this point the decisive advantage that Ukraine holds is in troop morale. Ukrainians soldiers have a spirit and jauntiness that the Russians lack. If Europe and American don’t wimp out and slow down even further in logistical support, Ukraine will be in good shape.
