I got a break, here’s a synopsis. Marv was a big snowmobile guy, had a gang he rode around with in Granby and Grand Lake, CO. He liked to work on them, so he bought a storage building in Granby and started doing business out of it. If you do that you have to have a bathroom. Town worked with him for years, let him stall, did away with all town fees and fines but finally the (unpaid) town board voted to shut him down if he didn’t put in a bathroom and hook up to the sewer. He spent months building his tank and wrecked many of the commercial businesses in Granby, as well as the newspaper building and the library, a very important small-town resource for the children in town. Almost killed the newspaper owner (good friend of mine) who ran out the back door of his building as Marv drove into the front of the building and destroyed it. All the newspaper guy ever did was report the ongoing story. Marv left behind hours of rambling religious tapes and was obviously dangerously insane and not living in reality, hearing “God talking”, etc. It was a miracle no one was killed that day and it took the town years to recover.
That newspaper owner is Patrick Brower, who wrote the book Killdozer that tells the REAL story of the dangerously insane Marv Heemeyer, not the made-up hero BS from idiots on the net who aren’t local and know nothing.
We need a new TV show called “FLORIDA MAN”. It’s a guaranteed hit!
No media stories are ever reported accurately. I know of 3 stories that were subject of news write ups. All three were reported falsely. The news media is a waste of time. They always lie. Always.

People need to realize that Florida Man has more tools at his disposal than just the replica Samurai sword mounted on the wall above his sectional sofa.
He also has a heavy equipment license.
