I see this happening but so what? The Republicans do not vote as a block like the communists. There will always be a few RINOs in the mix that will cause nothing of significance to be done.

Well, there are several reasons I see it happening.

1) The Dems are depending on abortion, climate change, and J6 to carry them over. These are extremely marginal issues and people react to them at the polling, but many will swing away because of 2).

2) Republicans aren’t leading with their own issues, but rather voters are looking to repudiate Dems on the economy, immigration, jobs, and so on. This includes the independents, who didn’t vote in many primaries. Biden is very unpopular, but the disdain for him is lessening as gas gets a little less expensive.

There are three outcomes that I see as possible.

a) The red wave - Rs 245 House 53 Senate
Democrats lay off messing with votes just like Virginia. Too many people watching. Almost got caught last time. Dems go crazy after the fact and blame Russia, Latinos, etc. They then go further in the hole as 2024 approaches and the economy weakens.

b) the red wave - Rs 230 House 51 Senate
Dems mess with votes in certain key states. AZ, PA, MI all have people messing with voting in Maricopa, Philly, and Detroit. Who knows what happened, but the results are reasonable. Dems weaken slightly as there’s no real mandate.

c) the blue wave - Rs 220 House 49 Senate
Dems pull out all the plugs on fraud regardless of Republican vigilance. Some people might get caught, but there are contingency plans. I think it’s impossible for Ds to maintain the house, just too many indie voters voting R. They will push Kelly, Fetterman, Warlock, etc over the finish line.

The real problem is that if the Dems lose the legislature completely, then Biden will use the DOJ to harass voters and funders of the Republicans. If people like Blake Masters/Jon Gibbs win, then you’re going to see Biden go nuts with subpoenas and so on, as the left will push for investigations. Of course, the hypocrisy will be lost on the Dems.

I hope that Newt is right about this. All this clown in the White House is doing is persecuting his political enemies. He could care less how his policies are hurting the average American.

Newt, will it be as useless as the one that made you Speaker. The only big thing I saw you do was to work to destroy the Waco investigation. Fake unipartarian.

I watched what happened in 1994/95.

The Republicans tried to do what they said they would do.

The Media came down on the Republicans like a ton of bricks.

It was then I realized the real power in the US was the Media, not the political parties; although, the Media was mostly in line with the Democrats.

But, it is hard to tell who pulls whose strings. Does the Media run the Democrat party, or does the Democrat party run the Media. They are an incestuous bunch, with quite a few RINOs in there as well.

They cheated in the open in 2020 with no consequence. If the GOP somehow manages to take the House that’s about all I expect.

The new version of “Contract with America” is my guess...and it’s about time someone on the R side decided to try to actually win.

I’m getting that 1980 feeling

1980 election: Ronald Reagan vs. Jimmy Carter.

Reagan: 44 states
489 Electoral votes.

Carter: 6 states and Dist. of Columbia
49 Electoral votes.

Yet the media is crowing here, Uncle Fester Fetterman and Bar Mitzvah Boy Shapiro are locks for the big races here in PA for Governor and Senate. One shows Fetterman up by +10 and Shaprio +20. Yea like that is going to happen. They will fire up the ground ape machine in inner city Pittsburgh and Philly may just get it done. Urban Blacks are such nihilistic chattel. Watch election night those 300k dumps at 2am for Fetterman and Shaprio.

Yeah, I agree it’s a different time, but I don’t think basic behavior has changed. To convince someone to buy what you’re selling you still have to explain what it will do for them, and ask for their support. Democrats are a lot better than Republicans when it comes to having consistent messaging and speaking with one voice, but hopefully this will help.

1980- out of sight inflation, terrible economy, out of sight gas/oil prices, blue cities falling into disrepair.

Yet in the months and weeks leading up to the election the media claimed it was “too close to call.”

The only benefit to the GOP holding Congress is that things don't go as bad quite as fast. What the Democrats have done with oil and inflation in these last 18 months is breathtaking. We actually were in decent shape coming out of the pandemic and it would have been a lot different if Trump was still in office.

I wonder if Gingrich is cyphering in the Cheat.

I also wonder if, here in Arizona Lake can beat Hobbs, who just happens to be Secretary of State and in charge of the election.

But come November 3rd or 4th or December 1st, we should know the answer.

Mark, after the GOP took the House in 1994, we certainly witnessed the power of the media to move public opinion. Who can ever forget their campaign to convince the country that Republicans were trying to starve school children.

In the end, despite all the awful blowback, IIRC, the GOP got Bill Clinton to sign into law 7 out of 10 of the Contract items. Ironically, in doing this, Slick Willie benefitted politically and helped him win re-election in 1996.

Never thought I would say this, but Clinton looks Churchillian compared to Biden.

Don’t know where you are located, but it’s the same in Arizona. Almost overnight.

"Silent majority again?"

Sadly many of conservative coalitions that rose under Reagan are no longer with us.

And the US Media in 1995 looks almost fair compared to the all out propaganda machine for the Leftists and the Biden administration it has become in 2020-2022.

And as I’ve been saying Biden isn’t worthy to shine Jimmy Carter’s shoes.

My hope and prediction...it will be so enormous that they may even stop counting votes to try and determine if the election numbers are correct.
