"Nevertheless, this still leaves a significant supply gap"

Where? The article just said supplies are adequate; and the ECMWF DJF 2022-2023 Europe winter forecast is to be very mild.

You may note that the Euros have taken to voting them (the left) out.

The Poles did, in 2015. This year they have inaugurated a gas pipeline from Norway.

Israel is Europe’s new energy future

Israel is hardly a world power in natural gas. They're ranked 45th with only 0.10 percent of the world's natural gas reserves. Russia has 24.3 percent of the world reserve, 240 times that of Israel!

Poland, Hungary and now Italy, not with standing. Now for the rest of the eu countries? Not so much.

Of course even in the case of Italy, people are voting the leftists out when too much damage has occurred to recover...or so I surmise.

Israel’s Leviathan field is huge

and Israel is reliable and doesn’t play political games with deliveries ... UNLIKE RUSSIA

that’s why Europe is moving away from unpredictable Russian supplies

Haven’t you heard? The pipeline is suddenly healed today.

The pipes blew up one week ago.

Still no underwater damage photos, and still no estimate on time to repair.

That is almost as weird as the initial explosions.

Russia lacks the materials and technical ability to repair the pipelines. The lines are effectively just rusting iron now

>>>The pipeline is suddenly healed today.

Not healed. It has stopped leaking gas since the remaining gas in the pipe is at the same pressure as the water pressure at the depth of the pipe.

It’s not just can Europe get the gas, it’s at what price they can get it that counts. Will they be able to acquire it cheap enough to allow their industries to be profitable? That is the question.

Russia always had a spaghetti network of pipelines to export fuel to Europe.
These pipelines had to cross now corrupt and criminal Countries such as the Ukraine.
The transit Countries levied a tax and transit fee on the fuel crossing their land. Hence, the funds available to pay off Hunter Biden and John Kerry’s son.
These Countries also used threats to exert influence over producers and customer.
These transit Countries could also siphon off fuel for their own use

Nord Stream 1 and 2 cut out the the corrupt middlemen and sent fuel from the producer to the customer.
Blowing up Nord stream 1 and 2 gives power and wealth back to Countries between Russia and it’s Customers in Europe

Gas production is carried out by four wells connected by two 18-inch, 73-mile subsea tiebacks to a natural gas processing platform located 10 km offshore Dor, Israel.[1] The processing platform has the capacity to handle up to 1.2 BCF of gas per day (12 BCM per year) and could be expanded to handle up to 2.1–2.4 BCF per day (21–24 BCM per year). Gas and condensate pipelines link the platform to an onshore reception station at Dor which is connected to the domestic Israeli gas and liquid fuels pipeline networks.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leviathan_gas_field#Technical_description

It’s not big enough to make much of a difference. Plus there are existing contracts to export to Egypt and to Israeli customers.

Israel is more interested in using it to achieve energy independence over the next few decades.

I find it difficult to believe that the piped gas was not necessary to reach the winter storage goals. They say they are over 80%, now, with lofty expectations for October. I will be surprised if they are not below 80% by the end of October, with consumption far outstripping imports in tankers.

Not healed....... the pressurized gas has leaked off and the pipeline is now empty and probably taking on sea water

Have been watching and investing time in what is nothing less than gargantuan Jezreel parallel coastal energy ocean called Leviathan and Tamar for years.

Europe is already okay until March and April, as the detail is cyphered at the video posted above.

However, as this was all ultimately about power and control over European economic, finance, and military policy, and using energy to achieve the goal, even some of my non-Believer colleagues were suggesting as far back as 2018, that Russia and it’s subordinate CIS structure was going to continue building it’s offensive military infrastructure, so to make a move on Israel’s Eastern Med ocean of energy. It’s already massive, but they are discovering new oil and gas reserves underneath, get this... the Jezreel/Megiddo plain!

These are very deep, but they are going for it!

There are also significant Texas based companies (one of them Cnristian), which are investing heavy right there.

So you are likely going to be proven correct soon!
