I always found Genesis 15:16 a rather interesting verse, that the sins of the Amorites has not reached its full measure.
What does it mean that “the sin of the Amorites has not yet reached its full measure” (Genesis 15:16)?

I would love to see justice done here and now, which should be done in this natural world. But it’s not happening, so we must wait on God. But then I wonder what’s taking Him so long and this verse comes to mind.
For the mess we are seeing in this country, God is letting the wicked be wicked still and their sin reaching its full measure before they are judged for it. That actually means that their judgement will be worse than it would have been if God had acted on my timetable.
A terrifying prospect for the “Amorites” among us.
Isaiah 51:17 Wake yourself, wake yourself, stand up, O Jerusalem, you who have drunk from the hand of the LORD the cup of his wrath, who have drunk to the dregs the bowl, the cup of staggering.
Jeremiah 25:15 Thus the LORD, the God of Israel, said to me: “Take from my hand this cup of the wine of wrath, and make all the nations to whom I send you drink it."
My personal opinion: We are under massive Divine Judgement right now. Have been since 9/11 (at least). America's cup is not yet full. Once it is, all hell will break loose - here and abroad because the World is probably at that point now.
I think we're close. See what we've got as "leadership" with exhibit #1:
Exhibit #2: The Amorites among us will be exactly like the Sodomites of long ago. Blind to their lusts and absolutely resolute in their sinful nature to carry one without abandon.
Nearly as corrupt as the Capitol and DC cops.
The sexual perversion running rampant in our society and culture is appalling. And that so many homosexuals are being installed in positions of influence and power does not bode well for this nation.
I only hope that when God’s judgement does fall that He does what He did for Israel when He brought the plagues on Egypt; that is make a distinction between those living in Egypt, and His chosen people.
Once the rapture happens, that won’t be an issue, but it’s in all that is leading up to it and so far, we are being affected by that judgment. We are losing our freedoms and the cost of living increases are affecting everyone as well.
But in spite of that, I see how God has provided for us already. I had a great harvest from my garden and God has provided a LOT of free firewood for heat. Granted we have to cut and split it ourselves, but hey, it’s good exercise.
I’ll admit to being a little puzzled why anyone at all is surprised by any of this. The U.S. government is absolutely corrupt at every single level. It is one of the largest and most profitable criminal organizations in the world. Once you realize that the only significant difference between government in what used to be the United States, and your average latin american or african dictatorship is that the US government is better at propaganda, and has actually managed to fool a significant percentage of the population about it nature, you’ll start to understand a lot more of what is going on in the world.
God always provides for His people through hardships and judgement.
That said, we are absolutely being impacted and affected by this Judgement.
Until it’s complete it’s going to be a whirlwind.
