You meet a Dutchman - or woman - and ask if they speak English. They reply ‘a little’. Then it turns out they lived in Philadelphia for three years. And they like to joke that the Germans dub their TV and movies because they’re to stupid to learn the other languages. Of course the Germans refer to the Dutch as cheeseheads (kasekopfs).
