Ignorance of the law is no excuse...I could swear I heard that saying somewhere?!?
I suppose that the news media expects those who commit vote fraud to quiver in shame and admit their guilt when arrested.
People give as much thought to referenda/constitutional amendments as they do to phone polls.
Pure emotion.
Democracy and democrats stink.
First, it is a stupid process that doesn’t provide an easy way for a person to find out if they can vote — especially a process that gives them their Voter ID without checking.
Second — on the other hand, it seems like a lot of hyperventilating about how this is an effort to steal an election, given that it only targeted a few people. Do they really think that stopping 19 people from voting (7 of them republican), is going to swing the election?
To me it doesn’t matter too much when they go after the little people when the state is still using the Dominion Voting system.
I agree that the forms should have stated the eligibility rules. If not, then you are right, charges will probably not stick.
I voted, but I ain’t commit no fraud.”Possible translations:
Notice how they try to blame De Santis, when the man is
simply calling for the laws on the books to be observed?
Article:They only require a potential voter to swear, under penalty of perjury, that they’re not a felon, or if they are, that their rights have been restored. The forms do not clarify that those with murder convictions don’t get automatic restoration of their rights.
Let's say Latanya swears that she is is eligible to vote. According to this, election workers don't have to check whether she has been convicted of murder.
