Yea for me. What do I win?
Up their ass with broken glass!
Gen X: We made “whatever” our philosophy and it works. Lol
“Eat My Shorts” is post-GenX. “Up Your Nose with a Rubber Hose” is pre-GenX. The GenX response is probably “Gag Me with a Spoon.”
That reminds, they did a new video for the 40th anniversary of Zappa’s “Valley Girl”

“Eat My Shorts” is post-GenX.

I heard that phrase way back in the late 70’s. Classic.
Ah yes. Valley Girl. Back when Nicholas Cage was a promising up-and-coming new actor and not doing anything that comes across his desk for a paycheck.
“Eat My Shorts” came from the 1985 movie Breakfast Club. The intended audience for that movie is clearly Gen X, because at the time that it came out, the oldest Gen Y would have been all of about 4 years old.
Funny, I thought that saying came from the Simpsons cartoon show.
Bart was always saying it.
LOLOLOL!
I forgot about that. I thought it was popularized in the 90s by Bart Simpson.
The X’ers are a pretty special group. Kari Lake is one of them. The boomers, of which I am one, wrecked everything, and this current group of ruling fossils and ghouls is largely boomers.
My son son once said, “No offense Dad, but your generation needs to die.”
To me, Bender telling Vernon to “eat my shorts” is unforgettable:

“Gag Me with a Spoon.”
As if. My bad. Talk to the hand. Don’t go postal.
Well, Bart is technically a Gen-Xer. He first appeared with his family in several short episodes on the Tracy Ulman show, the first short debuted on April 19, 1987. Bart is supposed to be 10 years old. So, he'd have been born in 1977. He uttered the phrase "Eat my shorts!" the first time in the second episode of the first season of The Simpsons (Bart the Genius), which aired January 14, 1990.
Aren’t Gen X’ers getting dangerously close to “get off my lawn” age?
I and both of my best friends exactly fit all these categories. There used to be Democrats who were sane and who you could consider voting for but those days ended around the time Obama came along.
