Yup. In VN there was no infrastructure to speak of outside of the bigger cities.

Ultimately, we lost those wars.

Same here. You could tell this was the case when Zelensky cut the press off at the beginning.

I know because I was there. You’re a loser/idiot who just makes $**t up.

Well that settles things. An unhinged Putinist with lefty talking points wants us to believe the USA trashed Iraq's infrastructure, ignoring (1) mass theft and sabotage of Iraq's infrastructure by... Iraq, (2) and the fact there power grids are better now, thanks to us, than they were before the war.

But it's fashionable to pretend the USA is the evil empire, attacking/killing civilians and ruining their lives for no reason nowadays.

Ron Paul didn't win the nomination, but he won the ideological war... at least among a small subset of people on FR.

“Here, there is no military benefit whatsoever, “

Of course there is. It shuts down large amounts of transportation infrastructure, it complicates communications, supply depot work, and creates a ton of headaches for the Government who has to divert resources and efforts to support the affected population. Water purity becomes a problem. Food storage becomes a problem. Airbases (if they have any left), radars, etc are all degraded because not they have to run on generator power. Generators need fuel, maintenance, etc.
Then last, by degrading morale, people may begin to get annoyed with Zelinsky. Uke propaganda is much harder to distribute if people cannot turn on the TV...

You may not like it, but there are plenty of military benefits.

Russia isn’t winning it though either. Their military is pretty bad actually. But they typically win by sending their soldiers to die and then the enemy runs out of ammo or gets tired killing them.

How does bombing Kyiv effect the front line hundreds of miles to the south and east?

You are confusing terror bombings an their goals with legitimate warfare. Aside from what you said regarding transportation, everything else here is purely to terrorize and harm the civilian population "to get [them] annoyed [at the government.]" These things are not the same.

Yes, of course, that is standard mass trolling, perhaps best typified by stormfront in the 00s

My question is: why allowed here? Tired, burnt out, threatened? A nice media asset has been essentially destroyed. Why?

I could care less who the hell (militarily) gets killed en mass over there.

It has absolutely no strategic importance to us.

Get your world map out and take a look at how easy it is to plug the whole of the black sea off to the rest of the world as far as ocean going shipping.

Even the Baltic region.

Yet, not one is paying any attention to the Pacific rim and what the implications are there to this country.

Again, take your world map and look at how close this country is to Russia-if that is the boogeyman, and understand the strategic value of that region to us.

I have said before. This site is monitored.

So, send in a group to set someone off.

There is moderation of sorts. But, like you said.

I have never seen poster allowed to spam their own threads like what has been going on here. You know the guilty ones.

I prefer for both sides to lose.

But yes China is the real threat. However, your argument of they are so far away would apply to China as well. To be honest the best way to deal with China is to stop doing business with them.

“deal with China is to stop doing business with them.”

I couldnt agree more!

The founders of this nation stressed that we stay to away from foreign interventions/entanglements. Yet, they also stressed the general welfare-IE. well being, for the nations defense.

I.E. Barbary Pirates. War of 1812. Pearl Harbor, ETC.

The difference between us is that I mind my own business while you stick that big, red rum nose into the Ukraune’s business. How about you cut it out and focus on America.

“The reason they are on here is collectively, they intend on destroying the web site”

You “people” post Russian propaganda constantly and we are the ones spreading propaganda?

Pot, kettle, black.

They had zero electricity because all their powerlines were laying on the ground - after we trashed them all.

I know because I was there.

It probably is a bad idea to confess to a war crime and accuse your commanding officers of committing a war crime on a public forum. It worked out for John Kerry, but that isn't always the case.

As Sherman once quoted “War is all Hell”

Putin maybe trying to drive Ukraine to the peace talks.
Like Nixon tried with the Viet Cong.

But aren’t those responding essentially enabling the behavior? (Including my own replies.)

Check my posting history; I’ve been gone for years. Why?

Because different forums took over the reins, offering the type of platform discussions - and ability to forcefully respond to trolls - that FR represented back in the day.

You can see the results on Alexa- is anyone actually being influenced or even bothering to look here any longer?

I mean, for the people still here, it’s as if the past 10 years didn’t happen, the continuing assumption of honest brokers differing only over policy.

Hello, the US has been overthrown and is presently under an occupation government. But water under the bridge and all that. I’m merely curious how it plays out.

Now that Russia has won WW3, the fun and games should really begin. First up, petro dollar, second, (illegal) immigration, third, dissolution

Good. Get this over. And the carrot for Putin? Bring Russia into NATO at the end of 5 years. Our real concerns are China, North Korea and Iran.

I’m with you on that. China is the obvious threat and has it’s tentacles deep into every aspect of our society.

Get Russia out of the Ukraine in return for no NATO expansion in the Ukraine.

Playing politics in these region lead to this and both sides have dirty hands.
