“romped his way around America’s securest networks”

No, those weren’t our “securest networks”. The most secure networks actually have no connection to the outside world. They are designed with an “air gap” for increased security.

“so raise the number 2 to the power of 1024 ... that’s how many combinations you’d have to try”

Only if you wanted to brute force it, and of course any moderately competent hacker could design a brute force attack that wouldn’t actually have to try every combination. And more competent hackers would use a method that avoids having to resort to a brute force attack in the first place, whether that’s social engineering, man in the middle attack, phishing, finding an exploit, etc.

If this was true, there is NO way the Russians would let the Ukrainians or NATO know this. Unless NATO already knows there was a serious breach and this is false information to track the Russian response to troop deployments and/or movements.

there are many many other ways to do this, secondly static keys even of this size can be compromised via newer methodologies much more readily than in the past

Created on September 3, 61 days old, registered in Florida. Site run by Jim W Dean of Veterans Today, article by Hall Turner. Says its based in Iceland, has no Icelandic content and the homepage links to 9/11 conspiracies.

The story that a Russian hacker claimed Ukraine's command and control is real. This source reporting on it is not.

Once upon a time I would have considered this an intelligent CIA ploy. But that was a long time ago.

" Complete Battle Plans for Ukraine Revealed"

HOHO battle plans? You mean waving white flags around and running down the street with their tails between their legs shrieking "YI yi yi yi yi yi yi yi yi yi yi yi yi yi yi yi yi yi yi yi yi yi yi yi yi yi yi yi yi yi yi yi yi yi yi yi yi yi yi yi yi yi yi yi yi........?

Face it, Russians having their battle plans is the least of those people's problems.
