Not taking a side in whether the war was just or right but they did find thousands of chemical weapons that saddam was supposed to have destroyed after Gulf War I, just not newly manufactured ones.
Saddam’s son in law defected to Jordan, in the late 90s and claimed that Iraq was still producing chem, bio and nuclear weapons.
Saddam enticed him to come home, where he was subsequently machine gunned.
After Saddam was captured, Khadaffi gave up his WMDs, including a nuke program, to avoid a fate like Saddam.
He claimed the nuke program was joint Libya / Iraq.
There were a good number of companies that went over to fight the fires: Red Adair’s firm, Boots and Coots, and others as well.
I remember the media looked at how long it would take to put out the fires after the first one was put out by an oil fire crew in Kuwait at the time the war ended. The left wing MSM said at that rate it would take 20 or 30 years to put out all the fires. Of course oil fire firefighters were converging on Kuwait as the MSM was spreading its lies. The fires were put out in about 30 days. I still remember the King of Kuwait personally thanking the fire fighters.

Not saying your right or wrong, but what would you have done after the coalition ran saddams army out of Kuwait? That was a turkey shoot (I was there) but the alliance had limits too.
The biggest problem I had with the non-conclusion of the 91 war was the poor enforcement of the no fly zones. Saying saddams helicopters didn’t constitute no fly zone violations was just dumb and allowed saddam to remain in power.
