The pay was lousy, we were underfunded, sometimes our officers and NCOs weren’t all they could have been, and God knows our political leadership had its failings, but if called on to fight, kill, and die for my country, I’d damned well have expected my crew and scouts to ante up and fight like men. Not sit in the barracks sucking their toes because we didn’t have funding for a new crew heater and it was damned cold in the winter.
Should in one hand and hsit in the other, and see which one fills up first.
I do see your point about MAGA voting for Kemp but I still maintain there is considerable disparity between his beating Abrams one-on-one as opposed to transferring his support to benefit Herschel.
Kemp obviously has a superb political operation in his own right but Hershel is clearly suffering from several overwhelming deficits against Warnock.
Warnock, like most Democrats these days, is bolstered by basically an insurmountable edge in fundraising (cash on hand) and a daunting lead in early mail-in votes.
Finally, it doesn’t seem like the Turtle Mitch McConnell is lifting a finger to help Walker—which is well known and serves to discourage MAGA from even bothering to go to the polls. It’s the same effect that cost both Loeffler and Perdue two years ago.
Before I was taught it by the Marine Corps, I was taught by my father: when in crisis, doing something, ANYTHING, is better than doing NOTHING. You have apparently chosen to do nothing. Congrats.

Good to hear about McConnell coming through with the $45 million for Herschel. I stand corrected on my posted criticism.
Yes, it is rather puzzling how PDJT is lying low right now during this runoff. Was expecting he’d hold a rally this week but all he’s done publicly is urge people to get out and vote for Herschel during his 2024 announcement event over two weeks ago.
Manchin has not flipped. He still sides with the Democrats on virtually every judicial and executive branch nominee, no matter how radical they are.
