The LGBTQ agenda is designed to outlaw the Bible, and anyone who follows it.
- my new tagline
The thing is that they’re not technically discriminating against gays, they’re saying they don’t want to make a cake or website for a particular ceremony.
Right, that's their argument.
My only point was Twitter doesn't have any exemption from those laws.
Aren’t those aimed at those “inside” the faith? Paul said not to associate with immoral “brothers”, not the immoral of this world (otherwise “…you would have to leave this world”—1 Cor. 5:10)
Here are some that do:
1 Corinthians 5:11
But actually, I wrote to you not to associate with any so-called brother if he is an immoral person, or covetous,
or an idolater, or a reviler, or a drunkard, or a swindler—not even to eat with such a one.
2 Thessalonians 3:6
Now we command you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you keep away from every brother who leads an unruly life and not according to the tradition which you received from us.
Romans 16:17
Now I urge you, brethren, keep your eye on those who cause dissensions and hindrances contrary to the teaching which you learned, and turn away from them.
And Satan knows the verse about a house divided,
so why would a Satanic lifestyle want to cause problems with a Satanic religion?
Jesus ate with sinners, associated with lepers, forgave prostitutes, and used men of little faith to take the message of salvation into the whole world.
We should do the same.
Bake them all the cakes they want, but do NOT write any unscriptural words on them.
And, they can put their OWN same sex plastic figures on their ‘wedding cake’ when they want to, the baker should not be forced to do it.
My whole point is to point out more left-wing hypocrisy.
If they're saying that, they're wrong.
It's true that Twitter can choose their customers, but they can't do it on the basis of race, religion, sex, etc. Civil rights laws protect certain classes of people and the socials aren't exempt.
This is pretty much a non-issue because as far as I know the social media companies don't make you reveal those things when you sign up so they can't be accused of using that to discriminate.
What people here usually complain about is Twitter et al. discriminating on the basis of political view, and that is totally legal for a private company to do.
Agreed.
You’re right, thank you for the correction, although some restaurants would only allow take-out. A better example would be hotels/motels not allowing blacks to rent rooms
