WOOHOO!! A city plow at last!!!!! I was afraid to ask about that earlier. That pile in the cul-de-sac is probably monstrous now.
I’m surprised, but glad, to hear you were able to get out today. I didn’t think that would happen until after the city plow finally showed up.

Wow!! What a beautiful sight that is for all of you on your street. It was a long time coming!

We got to watch this big fella wandering around Lake Hood and muching on twigs earlier today. We were fortunate a cam op was controlling the cam at the time and tracked him for close to an hour.

SOUNDS BUSY IN YOUR PART OF THE WORLD, AND RISKY, TOO.

GOT ABOUT 4”-6” OF WET, HEAVY SNOW STARTING LATE IN THE DAY ON THURSDAY. CHANGED TO 12+/- HRS. OF MODERATE RAIN THAT WASHED ALMOST ALL OF IT AWAY. AS OF TODAY IT’S ALL ABOUT GONE AND THE GROUND IS MUDDY...TEMPS IN THE MID 40’S MOST OF THE AFTERNOON. AS I TOLD RADU, DIDN’T NEED TO SPREAD ANY SALT, NEVER TOUCHED A SHOVEL. NEVER LOST POWER.

PAST MID DECEMBER...CAN’T HATE THAT.

AS FOR TZ, THERE WAS A MUCH BETTER EPISODE ON THE SAME THEME OF “TRUE LOVE”, MAYBE YOU’LL RECALL IT. I CAN’T QUITE RETRIEVE THE NAME OF THE PRINCIPAL ACTOR, BUT THE STORY WAS THIS. AN ELDERLY COUPLE (GASP! LIKE OUR AGE!!!) THAT HAVE BEEN MARRIED FOREVER COMES TO A SERVICE THAT PROMISES TO REJUVENATE THEIR BODIES BACK TO THEIR YOUTH. THE HUSBAND TRIES IT FIRST AND COMES OUT OF THE MACHINE A YOUNG MUSCULAR, HANDSOME MAN. THEY’RE BOTH THRILLED. THEN THEY FIND OUT THAT THE COST IS SUCH THAT THEY CAN AFFORD ONLY ONE OF THEM TO REJUVENATE. HUSBAND DECIDES TO RETURN TO BEING AGED. THEY EACH WANT THE OTHER TO BE YOUNG AGAIN UNTIL THEY REALIZE THAT THEY WOULD RATHER BE WITH EACH OTHER, REGARDLESS OF AGE, THAN APART, SO THEY LEAVE HAPPILY TOGETHER, SPIRITUALLY RENEWED. IT WAS BEAUTIFUL.

I DON’T KNOW HOW YOU MANAGE TO LIVE WHERE YOU DO. ON A SINGLE DAY IN AUGUST MAYBE, BUT YEAR ROUND??? YA GOT MORE GRIT THAN I DO! I GUESS YOU KNOW THE OLD JOKE ABOUT THE TEXAN THAT GOES TO ALASKA TO SEE WHAT IT’S ALL ABOUT...STARTS OUT WITH DRINKING A BOTTLE OF RED EYE!

I’ll bet “happy” is an understatement! LOL I was wondering if you’d EVER see a plow there. There are a lot of streets around the city and only so many plows - and guys to drive them. Those folks must be exhausted.

No new snow here, THANK GOODNESS! I was able to shovel out a little path from the garage man door on the side to the driveway. And It took me a few rest breaks and an evening of ice packs to shovel off all the porch steps and then a small spot at the bottom so any deliveries can make it to the porch and up the stairs.

The snow berm from the mailbox comes straight to the garage door. The stairs are about 3 feet further to the right. So I had to shovel through the berm to the bottom of the porch stairs. But I did it. LOL!

I hope it’s been a decent day there.
Nippy here but there was no wind to make it feel worse like we had the last two days.

Gad you missed out on today’s snow. It wasn’t much but it spit for a while at Lake Hood. Crazy fog there all day too. It would lower, then rise, then roll in and roll out. It’s clear by the cam now but the runways at Stevens are shrouded.

I almost feel the need to break out the heating pad for my back after reading about all the shoveling you did. LOL That was a LOT of work! Your poor knees must have been miserable, especially since you weren’t able to go to your weekly appointments. Are you able to move today?
