Aviles was being tailed by police because she was wanted in connection with six other burglaries. Police sources described her as a recidivist who had just been arrested December 8.

And no doubt released immediately to reoffend under nYs new no bail policy.

That said, it’s high time the elite also experienced what the rest of us unwashed have to live with, because nothing will change unless those with power and influence demand it.

Just as an FYI, the police in NYC arrest thousands of persons, 33,000 arrests in 2021. Arresting them is all the police can do. The courts release them as soon as they appear for arraignment. Most of the small minority that actually go to jail are released on probation and serve little time.

The NY State Legislature and the NY Courts let the criminals run free.
