Von Mises book is most relevant to the “rich kid” syndrome.
The “rich kid” knows deep in their heart they are a “useless eater”, a non-productive human who offers nothing to his fellow man.

I grew up in a relatively “rich” household—but my parents made me work for an allowance and never gave me frivolous things.
They drilled into me that I had to earn what I got in life.
Most “rich” parents spoil their kids—agreed that is the problem.
