Although it doesn’t HAVE to be a sitting congressman, you know? That’s another scenario for you! 😂
1) Trump does not have a vote.
2) This is a House matter.
3) He has appointed or endorsed some strange characters he probably regrets
Best listen to those congressman who have been elected to serve their districts.
I dont think who Trump wants will be a factor at all.
Yeah, some people have talked up Trump for Speaker, but I seem to recall him saying he didn’t want the job.
Scalise is not a “Kevin Only” though.
The vast majority of the House GOP and all the leadership support McCarthy.
But it means nothing unless he can get 218 votes.. 😉

I am no longer a registered Republican. I changed to No Party after January 6th. People in droves should be changing their Republican registration to send a clear message to the GOP that we are tired of their shit. Can you imagine if there was a mass exit? I can no longer compromise my values, and be registered in a party that doesn't respect me enough to want to protect my vote, or my country.
My Republican Congresswoman Claudia Tenney ran in a newly created district this year, so she is no longer my representative as of December 31st. Had she been running for re-election in my district this year, I wasn't going to vote for her. She's voted for every Bill that has sent money to Ukraine, including the Omnibus Bill. I called her office, and spoke to one of the kids working there. Gave him a piece of my mind, explaining why I felt that way...told him I was glad she was no longer representing me. Brandon Williams is my new Repblican Congressman. As soon as he's got an office in D.C., I'll be giving him a call.
