What US this weaponry for?
It was all (the ground parts of it anyway) designed and manufactured and maintained to sort out this particular opponent. Who else? Mexico?

Why does the US maintain 20 Army Divisions (active and ANG) and stocks to mobilize 20 more? To fight who?

...US weaponry and tax money going to Ukraine to cover up for US government shenanigans.

Yep, that's what it's for.

We can buy some from China........................

Maybe they will set up some sort of Lend/Lease program since we have no more money.

“we’ve chosen to let everyone know how defenseless we are”

Seeing how our only actual close military competitor can’t even manage to beat a second string country like Ukraine, I think we are going to be alright.

...and this is by design by those controlled by China.

All being orchestrated by the traitors in DC and by a few who were previously in political power. The US will also run out of fuel that supplies the military. If these traitors and their NWO overlords aren’t stopped, they will succeed in taking down this country from within. The point of no return is upon us.

I think you’re right. Grandpa was a quartermaster in the US Army and there was an enormous warehouse in our city.

They had so much on hand they would give away all sorts of clothes, deactivated ammunition, helmets, etc. It wouldn’t be surprising if they still have artillery from Korea and Vietnam sitting in there.

I have a different take on this...this guy was high up the DOD food chain.

He has been retired for almost 10 years.

I would guess he works for or has been a consultant to a large defense contractor.

Dwight D. Eisenhower ended his presidential term by warning the nation about the increasing power of the military-industrial complex.

This guy is trying to get more funding for the military-industrial complex.

Just my opinion.

Minor issue.. only toxic masculine men and some buff babes no how to use weapons so the majority of the Navy only needs fashion accessories.

Problem is not that naval assets have been given away, the problem is alot of weapons manufacturers make more than just just one type of missile, land, air, and naval. For instance, Raytheon makes Patriot missiles (land) and also makes tomahawk missiles (sea). Stands to reason that if Patriots are given away and must be replaced in our inventory, production of those replacements may be given priority over other models.

“The purpose of the statement is to prompt greater production of all weapons systems.”

Clearly.

Of course. My point is that the US has not provided Ukraine with much of any naval assets.

This is exactly how the Military-Industrial complex works.

I would now guess that he is not employed by a defense contractor.

He probably is a partner in an exclusive consulting firm where the lowest ranking member is a retired 2-star. Or a retired 1-star that makes good coffee.

“That’s the intention, isn’t it....”

That’s pretty much been the case since late Spring, once the Russians figured out that we’re pretty dumping everything we have in Ukraine.

I think the reason that they outsmarted us is because the Pencil Neck Ivory League types whose job it is to keep the military supplied figured that they could simply make a phone call to their future employer (like Raytheon) and order 1000 Stingers (or whatever they build), with delivery in a few months. And while that is true is Russia, where they priorititize the capability to quickly ramp up military production, using local suppliers, should it be necessary, the Pencil Neck Ivory League types in the US were trained to ‘maximize efficiency’, and part of that is to get rid of excess capacity and outsourcing wherever possible - but now that we’ve driven China into Russia’s arms, China isn’t in much of a hurry to supply us with the low-level components and raw materials that we need for our military hardware (like rare earths).
