Meanwhile, I can’t find the one where the officer told reporters from her hospital bed after being shot, “I hesitated to fire at him. I was afraid I would become the next headline.” She perp shot her instead.
I was taught a far simpler lesson,”Don’t point a gun at someone unless you are prepared to KILL them.
As for how many times to fire, fire until the threat is terminated.

Cities are already facing a shortage of police officers due to the potential of getting in legal trouble thanks to overzealous prosecutors for just doing their job.
Add to that the zero bail policies the very same perps they bust are immediately back on the streets to commit more crimes. That has to be discouraging when the criminals you arrest today are right back to breaking the law the tomorrow.
Like what’s the point, when there’s no real punishment for breaking the law and the only people who do face actual legal consequences now are law abiding citizens defending their business or home.
