I know we lost one in the 2003 thunder runs into Baghdad. Many others were damaged but repairable, the destroyed tank was hit with a French made anti armour HEAT round from a close distance.
Because you can just sneak one under your jacket and walk out of the tank store.
Why?
If they nuke the US, they get nuked in return.
If they nuke a NATO member, they get nuked in return.
If they nuke Ukraine, they get NATO or US intervention and get their butts quickly kicked out of Ukraine and probably lose their Baltic and Black Sea fleets, maybe the Med, too.
So exactly what rationale would motivate Putin to escalate directly against NATO or the US?
