More gun control on the law abiding folks who didn’t commit, nor have ever committed, gun crimes.

Working out so good so far. Keep doing the same stuff that doesn’t work, you dont want to solve the actual problems you just want to disarm unprotected citizens. If you solved the problems you couldn’t have a pretext to push for more gun control laws.

"If passed, the County would require new signage that warns of the dangers of firearms to be displayed at businesses where guns are sold.

Salesman: Do you know that this item is dangerous?

Me: Umm...yeah, that's why I'm buying it.

Illiterate politicians. Only the state of CA can make gun control laws inside the state boundaries. It's call pre-emption. The illiterates are showboating for the press and demonstrating their ignorance to the rest of us who understand the state law.

I think you are mistaken. Some states allow municipalities to have stricter gun laws than the state.

“a countywide registry would make it easier for law enforcement officers to track down criminals.”

Impossible criminals don’t register their guns. They don’t have to. According to a 1968 Supreme Court ruling, it violates their constitutional protection against self incrimination

As with many other 5th amendment cases, felons and others prohibited from possessing firearms could not be compelled to incriminate themselves through registration.[3][4] The National Firearms Act was amended after Haynes to make it apply only to those who could lawfully possess a firearm. This eliminated prosecution of prohibited persons, such as criminals, and cured the self-incrimination problem.

Ha.

Biden: First the practical jokers keep moving the White House bathrooms during the day so I can’t find them in time and now they hit me with these balloons.

I think you are mistaken. Some states allow municipalities to have stricter gun laws than the state.

California isn't one of them. I'm a former Californian. Too well versed in their damned gun control laws. Idaho is home now. ID has state pre-emption laws too.

See Gun laws in California for a "wiki" view of current CA gun laws. It is a perpetually moving target. New laws are crafted on a regular basis to ensnare gun owners in CA.

The wiki points to municipalities setting magazine size limits and safe storage requirements.

IF I need to grab a gun in the middle of the night due to a break in-—I cannot protect myself with trigger locks & locked boxes.
