Once again, every moment in the USA there are thousands of people watching the sky for one reason or another. These people talk to each other and none of them saw these “past balloons”. These balloons are not small. Ordinary people saw it. And brought the public’s attention to it.
If this had happened in the past they would have seen it then as well.

Flip a burner switch for hot air, running on a compressed gas cylinder, and up you go. Open the top to let some hot air out, or just don’t use the heater, and down you go.
