See Post #23.
“F@#$ ‘em. They didn’t vote for us.”
They’re so stupid that they don’t get that water runs downhill. Eventually, the crap in the river WILL reach their low-IQ voters.
My personal opinion is that FEMA mostly plays politics.... sounds a lot like the rest of the government.
It was a mistake to grow FEMA so drastically post-Katrina just as it was a mistake to grow federal law enforcement so drastically post-911.
Counties and states all have emergency management. Larger cities have it. We have lots of fire resources in comparison to other nations and they are generally well coordinated into state or cooperative command structures. We have National Guard. We have the Red Cross. Federal resources such as Coast Guard or military can respond upon request.
Trying to turn FEMA into a “first-responder” agency that shows up with resources was an expensive mistake as its purpose (prior to Katrina and the left bashing Bush for everything) was to come in and start writing checks to help the local and state agencies off-set cost. Those agencies using the resources above are best equipped to deal with a disaster or emergency in their own home.
We have created another agency in DC that centralizes power, creates more bureaucracy, and plays politics when that was never its intent. It is wildly inefficient.
You might be interested in this youtube I found and check out the first pinned comment on this guys channel FWIW. I cannot vouch for the veracity, but it says from a NS source that there were 3 “hot wheel” alerts on this train prior to the derailment but the engineer was not notified by dispatch prior to the catastrophic derailment and activation of the emergency braking system that causes the jagged derailment (air lines disrupted during derailment). He gives a good explanation.
That seems strange to me because I thought the engineer was notified over NS radio by the computer that there was a hot wheel alert on every train. However, some people in the comments below the pinned response at top are saying the engineer is NOT notified and its up to dispatch to look at the problem and tell the engineer. This guy says the train should have been stopped and inspected after the first alert?

Don’t believe you. You will continue your lies forever. We’re used to it here.
“Don’t believe you.”
Oh, snap. I’m devastated. You got me good.
Truth hurts.
Thanks for that interesting video volunbeer (We are living 2nd Thessalonians)!!
We are at war. Russia wants to fight a covert war against us because of Ukraine. China is also because of Hong Kong.
But the worst part is this administration is also at war against our nation.
A Classic response using percentages...
“A group representing major railroads said last week 99.9% of all hazmat shipments reach their destination without incident and the hazmat accident rate has declined by 55% since 2012.”
Buttigieg urges U.S. railroads to boost safety, not oppose reforms
Would Biden behave like that were in SF?
I wish Biden would have left pipelines alone.
