Pete was a mediocre mayor of South Bend and has done nothing of consequence since. His 15 minutes of fame has long expired.
Maybe I’m cynical but I never saw what was being accomplished by politicians using disaster areas as props for their visits. Stay the hell out of the way sounds fine to me.
