As an aside, until last year, I did Crossfit 3 or 4 times a week. The only reason I quit was the back pain that comes from lifting fast with bad form (my fault).
Even though I'm 74, if someone gets aggressive with me in a restaurant because of my MAGA hat, they should know I bite back. And I'll press charges (it's a felony to assault a senior citizen here...even when the senior citizen fights back).

True that. Classical liberals were way different. You could have polite and respectful discussions with them. And maybe both sides would learn something new.
That’s all gone now. Awhile back I was talking to an older friend of mine. She’s what I’d call an old-school JFK Democrat. She puts her flag out on holidays and believes in hard work.
I casually mentioned to her that Trump tried to bring industry back to America. To my great surprise, she got angry and shut me down completely. Trump and his gang were evil monsters with no redeeming qualities at all.
This is a really bad sign. She is still my friend. But mainstream media propaganda has ruined her thinking. And there are millions like her. I don’t see how we as a country can come back from this.
She’s talking about a common culture. There used to be one and aspects of that culture still exist. However the insistence on public schools and ignoring what popular media advocates has done it’s damage. There is no longer a common culture by the design of the cultural communists.
Americans failed to see the enemy within the gates.
IMO it was a fatal error.
And if I could be a bit more crude...
Its most likely going to require cracking skulls. And be prepared for potential arrests. Because 'people' like that will immediately run to the legal system when the remedy for their bad behavior is remedied on the spot. Now there is a good chance the cops will personally be supportive, but have to do their jobs. And an honest jury will probably acquit. But I fear we're at that point.
And heads will need to continue to be cracked until it sinks in that there are consequences for bad behavior.
Allowing it to continue is cowardice masked as 'tolerance'.

At 72 years of age, I don’t plan on physically fighting with anyone these days, especially someone 50 years younger than me.
IF it gets physical to the point where I must defend myself, or my wife, from serious physical harm, I’m just gonna shoot the evil SOB and call it good.
There are federal and state laws pertaining to senior citizens from being attacked..Starts at $5k and 5 months in the greybar hotel....Spokeshave at 81 who works out twice a week.
On a separate issue my BP drops after a strenuous workout ..systolic at 110mm and diastolic 60mmhg.
