“I guess that will leave out Uncle Mitt tossing his magic panties into the ring”

If Mitt runs in the primaries and Trump wins, Mitt will do whatever he wants to. The loyalty pledge will not concern him. Who will hold him accountable to the pledge? No one and he knows it.

And yet she was just recently overwhelmingly re-elected as RNC chair. So what’s up with that?

It’s a pointless pledge. What are they going to do if a losing candidate signs the pledge and then refuses to endorse the winner?

It was Jeb who refused to support Trump. Remember?

I can only presume the GOPe is still the power behind the curtain and the Romney/McConnel wing rules the show.

Ronna McDaniel is overreaching by demanding a pledge to support the Republican nominee regardless of who it is. She's not a dictator or king-maker. The successful primary candidate is responsible to unite the party, not her. That's NOT her job.

She facilitates the process (or should at least appear to facilitate the process), not preemptively anointing the party leader.

This is a Dump-Trump ploy since he backed out of the pledge to support the nominee in 2016.

I wished that Harmeet Dhillon had won the Chairmanship role in the RNC, not Mitten's niece. There is little wonder why the RNC is so unpopular (and unsupported) among conservatives.

Maybe Ronna should focus on Republicans honoring their oath of office.

LOL. Who will be in the debate if Trump is not present?

Oh, the RNC’s famous “loyalty” pledge.

How’d that work out last time??

Did John Kasich support the Republican nominee in 2016? NO!

Did Jeb Bush support the Republican nominee in 2016? NO!

Did Carly Fiorina support the Republican nominee in 2016? NO!

Did George Pataki support the Republican nominee in 2016? NO!

I long ago stopped sending anything to the RNC.

I called them and told them I was finished with them. Period.

They listened and said nothing.

Eventually, they stopped sending me their crap.

They are the Problem not even a small part of the Solution.

Maybe Ronna should focus on Republicans honoring their oath of office.

And help Governors in Red states get election integrity laws on the books to help the national candidates.

It’s the RNC’s way to try to trip up Trump. I say, President Trump, don’t sign and don’t debate. It will be 10 against one at these debates anyway. The Republicans were outraged when people said Trump demanded loyalty from his people and appointees. Now they are demanding loyalty? Wow

She never supported Trump’s people in the last election. What a scam...

Each candidate should be able to ask the other candidates questions or at least each candidate should submit 1 question into the debate.

The moderator should just moderate, not control the debate or favor certain candidates.

Why is this even necessary?
Do they know something we plebes do not?................

They want to make sure anyone whose feelings get bruised in the primaries does not sulk (see Ted Cruz in 2016). Also, they're afraid Trump might try to run third-party if he doesn't win the nomination.

It doesn’t matter which way this goes. If Trump wins the primary, the fraud will take him out as before. If Trump loses the primary, he’ll run as an independent because his ego won’t allow otherwise.

Either way in those two scenarios we’ll be welcoming President Newsom in January of ‘25.

The rest of this RNC maneuvering is just a sideshow...
