But this time it's OK because they will infringe on everyone's right to keep and bear arms. Racist pricks!
The Racist Roots of Gun Control.
SYG, Castle Doctrine and other self defense laws have roots in the push back against Jim Crow laws. Yet today's “black leaders” line up to help the Progressives destroy all of the progress made to secure black families.

Why not, because gun ownership was once restricted in order to suppress human rights, gun ownership should not now be restricted in order to preserve human rights?
There is a history of discrimination against Catholics. Tied to that was discrimination against certain white ethnic groups in addition to discrimination against Blacks. Find a newspaper from the 1950s or earlier and look at the help-wanted ads. Many of the job listings will say that no African American need apply. But you will also see many ads saying, “No Catholics need apply” and “No Irish need apply.” I am sure discrimination was more blatant in some areas than others. Discrimination was so prevalent that advertisements might have well-understood abbreviations, something like “no Irish” or “nina” for “No Irish need apply.” So, especially in the South, there were also numerous gun control laws that targeted basically any ethnic or religious group that the Klan disapproved of.
I knew about discrimination against virtually every ethnic group at one time or another, but I forget some had and still do have strange notions about Catholics.
Of course, I am compromised, having grown up Catholic and gone through many of the Sacramental Ceremonies.
Name them and shame them.
Read and heed my tagline.
Yep. The dirty little secret the Gun Grabbers have desperately tried to avoid admitting is that gun control began with disfavored groups. Several of them still on the books today are literal Jim Crow laws.
That’s what they’re defending now.
You might have heard of the “Know Nothing Party” - it was a movement in the middle of the 19th century. They sought to remove any foreign influence from America. They saw the Catholic Church as this big foreign threat and they had all sorts of conspiracy theories against Catholics.
Wait.
What?
If we will now be applying “historic norms” to restrict the private ownership of firearms per the 2A, does that also apply to voting rights? Until 1920, barely 100 years ago, women were denied the right to vote except in California, Idaho, Utah and Wyoming. Can we please use these same historic norms to limit the franchise to property owning males?
Just asking for a friend.
