...now that I think of it, I can only wonder how much higher the prices are in the store on A1A!

MoviePass.

Yeah, it was a great deal while it lasted. Of course everybody knew it wouldn't last which is why I tried to pack in as many theater movies I could in the brief time it did last.

We have one also...called Publix. The problem with a lot of the products that go on BOGO is the prices that have gone up so much, you aren’t saving much compared to this time last year. Pepsi 16.9oz 6 count bottles or 12oz 8 count cans...$8.19!! That is ridiculous. We have given up most sodas and other things that we used to buy because of the prices. But I guess that is what the government wants....

I love Publix bakery and deli....delicious stuff, never mind the price.

I also shop Publix when it's buy one, get one free.

Other than that, it's WalMart where I save $$$'s galore over Publix' outrageous prices for almost everything !

Thanks. I’ve used that site in the past but it doesn’t seem to work with WSJ articles anymore.

Love my Publix also.

Frozen veggies...
Publix $4+ for 12oz bag
Wal-Mart $1+ for 16oz bag

...in this economy, we have to shop wisely

When I moved to Virginia in 2021 a 12 pack was high to me at $5.79, it’s now $7.99 for the same 12 pack.

Seemingly every week you can alternate between Coke and Pepsi products offering BOGO and Dr. Pepper as well which is the king anyways.

The Safeway app does that. I’ve never clipped coupons in my life, but I’m doing it now. Safeway had a special “$5 Friday” last week. Got two of their Signature Select frozen pizzas for $5. Got four Lean Cuisine frozen dinners for $10.

I’ve just about quit restaurants and am doing a lot of home cooking. Made a great basic casserole last night and used ground beef on sale at Safeway. I’ve gotten good at a quick stir-fry of sliced beef and veggies. The top sirloin goes on sale for $5/pound. Toss a few slices in the pan for a couple of minutes and it’s great with rice, on sandwiches, on eggs, or with veggies with a bit of Broccoli Beef Chinese sauce.

Dynamic pricing is a horrible concept

Bought a plane ticket to London on short notice due to unforeseen events. I saw the price go up 1000 dollars in ten minutes and then back down to the former price 15 minutes later. Fortunately, I waited.

My wife was coming home from working in another city last week. She said she had a hunger for a filet o’fish and Shamrock shake.

Fish sandwich, small fries, and shamrock shake (a la carte) was $13.99.

I guess its been a while since I ate at McDonalds...because that seemed like a LOT of money for that crap food.

And it made her sick to her stomach on top of that.

I have a similar program at Cinemark. My wife and I go to the movies once a month (if there is something worth seeing.). We go to the Tuesday 5 PM show. We are in and out, seats, popcorn and sodas for under $30 total. I get a ticket and a 25% discount on the food for $9.95. Tuesday, Senior tickets are less than $8.50.

The deals are out there. But you have to look for them.

Before Biteme, Coke & Pepsi sales were 3 for $11.00. I have not bought either at these insane, confiscatory prices since.

NO!

This is really the crux of all of our issues in the world today, lack of morals
You don't get to define what's moral.

To some, "social justice", wokeism, even abortion is moral.

Man's law VS god's law is the real problem.

I think the three of us are all saying the same thing in different ways.

Man's law VS god's law is the real problem.
