Many stupid, ignorant and foolish Freepers do not recognize the existential battle for the soul of the USA and only Trump has a chance of winning that battle. Ronnie is a light weight that would be soon goobled up by the Deep State.
Most of these ignorant fools can be identified when they relate that they think the '20 election was legitmte. They are basically hopeless.

You’re probably right, but the difference is that DeSantis was NEVER going to win as many votes as Trump did in 2020, if he want after Trump, particularly given the imminent arrest talk, where even hard-core RINOs are defending Trump.
The only way that I could see DeSantis winning in November 2024 would have been somehow getting Trump to support him, as that was the only possibly way to bring the vast majority of Trump’s voters over to DeSantis (and without Trump voters, DeSantis gets blown out).
However, Trump supporting DeSantis was up to Trump, and he certainly didn’t look like he had any plans to do that...so DeSantis NEVER had a path to victory against the Democrats. This was not my opinion, it was a very common opinion of people who understand Trump voters.
...which leads to the following question: Just what is the purpose of DeSantis? To simply be another Republican figure-head losing to another Democrat, as in Bob Dole, McCain, or Romney? If not, then what, exactly?
