I’m not saying that you couldn’t “give” me an electric vehicle but I damned-sure wouldn’t plunk-down any money to buy one! Give me something with a carburetor, so when the Chi-coms launch an EMP, I’ll have something to get-around in!
Yes, the woke states will simply refuse to register ICE vehicles in a few years. So they will not be road legal.
Toyota makes a great hybrid, now the corolla and essentially a corolla small suv are available as a hybrid.
Ford, which used to be a major client of mine, has gone bonkers. Not only the EV digression, but the switch to small displacement turbocharged OHC engines in their trucks. Those things have short fuses, and as they start to need major (and expensive) repairs while GM’s good old pushrod V-8s continue motoring down the road, Ford’s domination of the pickup market is going to crumble. I’ve been pretty much a Ford guy all my life, but much as I hate GM, (another client, long story) I would buy a Chevy today if I were in the market for a truck.
IIRC Toyota is the only hold out to NOT commit to 100% EV by 2035(or whatever is the demand date). Correct as needed. šµ

I drove a Toyota Tacoma on the job for years. I used to get cramps if I drove for too long because the cab was to small for me. I’m a relic of a glorious “American” past when my Dad owned an Oldsmobile Rocket 88 (my first love of all things Americana). MAGA means something to me.

Yeah, EV’s work if you don’t much or far, or a 2nd car. In fact, they may be very good in those “niches”

every time the movie American Graffiti comes on, i watch it...just for the cars that are in that movie. Hard to believe the auto companies once designed and made those cars...they are amazing.
