Odawg must be suicidal about now. His hatred for DeSantis just went nuclear. That RINO DeSantis as he loves to proclaim just showed his true colors. Lol.

1. Law does not change the requirements to acquire a weapon. If they got it illegally, do you really think they care about a concealed carry permit?

2. Now much higher likelihood that they will face an armed response if they want to get stupid. This is referred to as deterrence.

3. If they did acquire it illegally, or are a prior felon that has not had their rights restored, it will still be a crime that they can be prosecuted for, regardless of whether it is a violent crime they chose to commit or not.

The criminally minded are already carrying concealed without permits. This levels the field for their potential victims. It would be ideal if everyone who chooses to arm him/her self went through training in the basics of law concerning the use of deadly force. But overall, as Heinlein once stated, an armed society is (or tends to be) a polite society.

This should be Federal Law...as it was in the beginning...It’s called the right to bear arms.

Between January 2017 and January 2019, we enjoyed a rare opportunity to repeal a myriad of federal gun laws and shore up the Second Amendment. It would've been a much appreciated demonstration of gratitude by Republican lawmakers towards gun rights advocates within their ranks for their stalwart support for the GOP over the years.

Instead, we were thanked with a bumpstock ban.

This bill, while good in theory, is going to get a lot of people killed because now thugs can carry without any preparation. Criminally minded groups and wannabe gangsters will be carrying and there will be way more idiots with guns on the street.

Mrs. Brady?

Sarah?

Is that you?

We've been hearing this tripe from the gun control freaks ever since the several States started with "Shall Issue" concealed carry permits back in the early 1990s.

Ironically, Florida (the "Gunshine State" according to you gun control freaks) was one of the earliest Shall Issue states.

Funny how blood didn't run in the streets.

It only does in Gun Control Paradises like Chicongo.

I don’t know what’s worse, TDS or DDS. I imagine that he has to do with worship/zealotry vs. strong support.

Derangement Syndrome, regardless of target, is bad.

Even the old (and original) form, “Bush Derangement Syndrome”, was very bad.

This bill will put a piece on every rapping moron thug.

No, it won't, any more than it has in the other 25 States which have established "Constitutional Carry".

You are literally using the discredited rhetoric of Sarah Brady, Pete Shields, Diane Feinstein, and Charles Schumer.

It might have gained some traction in 1992.

Today? We know better.

Who do you support for President in 2024?

“I wish we had 49 more Ron DeSantis governors in this country.”

If you don’t have 49 legislatures like Florida, it would be useless. DeSantis could only “whine.”

If we had a Congress to pass that law, Trump would sign it. But don’t wait for that to happen. The odds are zero.

No, I am not sucidal just now, or anyother time. It is not me hating DeSantis, since I don’t think about him, it the venom of the Trump hating DeSantis-bots that I read on these threads that annoys me, then I have to think about the little whiny, nasal-voiced ingrate.

You must have forgotten the stolen election. The country was already making a comback that fourth year.

because now thugs can carry without any preparation

Before..."Sheet...Iz caint brang my piece cuz I ainz gots naw permeet."

Yep...I can hear it now...

I am sure thugs were hesitant to carry because they were afraid they would be caught carrying without a permit and now they will just go hog wild.

“didn’t forget...”

Of course you did not, but you want to pursue your narrative that “Trump allowed Fauci, etc.

didn’t dwell on it...

Maybe you should, since the fool is destroying the nation, and Florida is a part of the nation that is being destroyed.
When the Chinese troops come over here to enfore the tyranny, they will be sent to Florida also.

“we’re making florida great while your playing on the internet and letting your state go to ruins...”

Playing on the internet, and you are not?

Louisiana is in the hands of a veto-proof Republican legislature. Don’t wait for them to pass a permitless carry bill into law.

Trump had to pass his bumpstock ban by executive order.
