You think their test scores are bad now. Segregate them and you’ll have third world results.
I believe that; prior to the “Great Society” cash-for-kids program that removed fathers from black homes, they understood (even in segregated schools) that education was the only way out of a sharecropper’s life. Even poor, uneducated black parents pushed their children to prepare themselves for a better livelihood doing something else.
Children under 10 certainly know when children around them are using words they themselves don’t understand, and when the teacher responds with words they don’t understand.
I’m sure that black instructors back then were also better trained\educated & motivated.
I think it’s time for a major experiment after 2 -3 generations post-CRA. Create a lab-condition environment of all black and all white economies, societies, and laws. Keep them completely segregated for 5 years and then assess.

We need SEPARATION.
