Seems Trump is a bit concerned over DeSantis’ candidacy, which hasn’t even been declared yet. I think his fear is justified.

Clearly, he doesn't believe his own polling.

Ron DeSantis has a job to do in Florida, and his role there is not yet complete. He will be termed out in January of 2027, and thus be free to run for the Presidency without ever having to resign.

It is Ed Rollins that is trying to get DeSantis to run, not Ron’s personal desires. Put the blame where it belongs, the Bushies trying to foment discontent and roil the waters.

The only viable way Ron DeSantis could ride in is if somehow, Donald Trump gets so tarnished he cannot possibly continue to pursue the campaign for the Presidency in 2024, and DeSantis would then be Plan B.

I think a lot of savvy Dems will work hard to make DT the R-nominee.

"Trump lost to a drooling half-wit... "

Doing so twice would be another historic first.

"Desantis has a super majority in Florida. That will not exist while in DC. I dont know why people can’t grasp that concept."

I've said that previously on older threads here. DeSantis has never had to deal with a legislature that was split. He wouldn't get shit done with all the Rinos sitting in the Senate. And his midterm elections could end up with a Democrat majority in both Houses of Congress, because historically, the party in the White loses seats, and sometimes control of one or both Houses.

“ DeSantis has no pathway to POTUS in 2024.

He will only hurt the GOP,”

Well, then. That’s the plan until proven otherwise

What they did apparently was legal.

That's the first piece of legislation which needs to be passed, although with the dimmocommie incursion into Congress, I have my doubts it could be done now. Make all that stuff illegal.

How the hell can you say on the one hand there were massive irregularities but Trump really lost because he promised student loan relief? It was blatantly stolen in the most obvious of ways and to pretend otherwise just marks you as another deranged anti-Trumper.

I’d like DeSantis to rake in some cash as he’s been doing then in the coming months announce his support for Trump and say he will actively campaign for him.

There needs to be serious debate in the 2024 campaign, it may be the only thing to save Trump now that he has alienated so many of his former supporters. But Trump can’t afford a serious debate and campaign with DeSantis in the running. Right now Trump’s support is boosted by sympathy due to the indictments of him. But in a real campaign and on the debate stage Trump will have to face a very viable and proven candidate and explain why he’s better.

Let’s face it. On the debate stage you’ll have old scowling Trump facing a younger DeSantis who normally speaks with a slight smile. DeSantis will have abundant successes to speak about and he’s proven he’s capable of taking any shots Trump throws.

Voters will see that DeSantis is a faithful husband and father, to three lovely young children and poised and plesant wife. Trump will not be able to go after DeSantis wife or family like he did against Cruz, because DeSantis can and should take him apart for it. DeSantis also hasn’t paid off any porn stars, which will likely appeal to a lot of female voters. His middle class upbringing, strong traditional values and military record are a plus too.

Of course if Trump has to debate DeSantis, that pesky Covid and Fauci stuff may come up which will not make Trump look good. What will Trump say? “I gave you the vaccines at warp speed”, at a time when the populace is catching on to how ineffective and harmful they were. Lockdown Don can’t go there and so he needs DeSantis not to run to avoid it.

Then there is Trumps poor record with endorsements in the important open seat races. He makes an endorsement and they win the primary, sometimes with Dimocrat support, and then lose in the general. He’s the best fund raiser the Dims have. I wish he would start endorsing Dims so our candidates would have a chance. It’s highly likely the Dims want Trump to be the nominee since he will not bring in new GOP voters, he will have no coat tails and energizes the Dims to rabid engagement.

If Trump gets the nomination I will vote for him and I will celebrate if he wins, but he needs to win the nomination by showing his plan and policies, not by childish name calling and not because some think he deserves it.

He’ll have a stronger chance if he focuses on his policies, achievements as president and his vision for the future AND finds a way to "stop the steal".

Because 81 million living American citizens did not willingly and knowingly cast one vote each for Joe Biden.

> If the Dems are stupid enough to run 80 yo Biden again, 76 yo DT has a chance.

* It is possible to have a 269 Republican to 268 Democrat result without AZ, PA, MI and WI if the Republican takes NV and VA.

“I believe that if he decides to run for President, which will only hurt and somewhat divide the Republican Party, he will lose the cherished and massive MAGA vote, and never be able to successfully run for office again.”

Such nonsense (and not at all brave or confident).

The nomination is owed to nobody.

The notion that someone should not run in order to not split the party is fertilizer, Trump's already splitting it, just read the anti RDS hyperbole.

Trump is free to run, but not to tell others to not run.

The eventual nom is up to us GOP voters, not Trump.

May the best candidate secure the nomination (and I'll support that nominee.)

Stop believing the MSMS lies in these narrative polls; it is part of the game just like Hillary had 99% chance to win; it is always close, it is to reduce Republican turnout which cost GOP about 3% each and every election

Watch and learn Ron. It will sereve you well down the road.
*******************************************************
What is he to watch and learn?

How to blow up 3 years of your successful Presidency because you won’t fire swamp creatures pushing vaccines developed at “warp speed” and lockdowns?

How to pick the worst possible AG’s and Cabinet members possible?

How to endorse candidates that have stroked your ego, but can’t win?

How to use your family as your political advisors to your detriment?

How to keep giving interviews to people that are clearly out to get you?

Please tell us what to watch and learn. We’ll wait.

Why don't YOU retire from the field before you further embarrass yourself? I hear they're going to do a "Deliverance 2" movie; you might want to audition for the banjo-playing kid.

Man, you Trump groupies are running out of material.

Sheesh.
