“ I just saw that the loss is up to $6.7 Billion so only 700 million today so far, but the day is young - the big test will be the weekend.”
How do you figure that, Bud stock price was up 1.5% yesterday and is up .45% today?
Haha! Good story 👍
So, don’t address and customers will no longer purchase the product, or piss off the Libs who will demand a boycott….. it’s a lose lose situation….
“Conservatives are horrible at boycotts and the left knows it.”
This isn’t a conservative boycott - it’s not even a boycott really. It is just normal people being turned off by all this tranny celebration crap.
I’ve owned a bar for 30 years. Ever since this story broke, anyone who asks for a bud light gets laughed at and accused of drinking “tranny beer”. It’s been light hearted but relentless - and believe me - it’s having a profound effect.
What a lot of political pundits don’t seem to realize is that people in bars or at barbecues never went “woke” or “politically correct”. Maybe that happened on school campuses and work places, but normal people who drink beer never lost their sense of humor.
Like this?
Well, it is obviously subjective, and a matter of opinion/taste. While I consider Budweiser actual beer (because it is), I do not consider any "light"/"lite" beer to be in that category.
Budweiser has 135 calories/12 oz., while Bud Light has 110 calories/12 oz. So let's say you drink three 12 oz. Budweisers. That is the caloric equivalent of 4.05 Bud Lights. Or 4 Budweisers is equal to 4.9 Bud Lights.
Unless you're a heavy drinker, in which case you're going to have weight problems regardless of whether you drink "light"/"lite" beer or regular beer, why would you choose to drink the watered down p*ss that is Bud Light anyway?
I’m not suggesting American Lagers are great beers either, light or otherwise, but IPA’s are just crap... Folks trying to convince each other they are great just shows the power of group think IMHO.
Intentionally overbrewed to survive the journey on sailing ships to the subcontinent taking 6 months by boat with no refrigeration.. They are not “great” beer.
IPA’s are pretty much the man bun of the beer world...
“According to sources cited by the Daily Wire, ‘no one at a senior level’ was aware of the Mulvaney brand partnership before it launched, and the campaign was undertaken by a ‘low-level marketing staffer.’”
Right.
This could have been written by the chief Ukraine war propagandist in the administration.
“Do conservative beer drinkers have memories longer than fruit flies?”
most likely not ... but their taste-buds do ... so when they discover an alternative brewsky that they like much better than bud light, they’re very unlikely to take the trouble to switch back to a product that they now no is inferior ...
Yep, they are now left with a load of skunky beer.
It will be down over the long term
Noooo...not my KONA! OK, I’ll give that one up, since AB “owns” it. Landshark is a “meh” anyway (Corona for parrotheads), and Shock Top has always been out for me (don’t care for the Belgian style...too musty tasting).
I have trouble with extending this to the “partner” brands though, since they have no control over AB’s idiot executives’ decisions other than to disassociate (which would probably hurt them more)...I draw the line at my Breckenridge and Red Hook (”Ya sure, ya betcha!”)!
I take exception to the blanket “man bun” comment...they weren’t created that way. They were intended for the British fighting troops in Colonial India (including some of my ancestors), ‘cuz yes, regular ales were undrinkable after the long sailing trip through the tropics, and “lagers” didn’t exist in Britain until the 1830’s.
Of course it helps if you have my genetic inability to taste bitter flavors. And they’re better in the colder seasons, not the hot summer. But to imply that everybody who likes them has a “man bun” is an overreach.
I never said those who drank IPAs all have man buns, I said they are the man bun of the beer world.
People buying a lower priced or undervalued stock?
Means the market doesn’t believe the boycott will hold
