The nomination is owed to no person, my good FRiend.

We need to look forward to us voters selecting our nominee as the result of debate performances, recently published books, cogent speeches, and news releases, all describing what the candidates have accomplished, what they promise, and just where they view our wonderful National Heritage, our customs, our traditions, and our values.

I'm also interested in defense matters (global worries among them), and as a Veteran, I will trust and choose a Vet over a never Vet if all other factors were to equal out.

I voted for Trump in two elections, 16 and 20.

I will vote for whichever GOPer wins the nom. I currently lean DeSantis. I have a bromance with no candidate, and I'm free to change my mind up to the day I vote in the primary.

All that said, I do wonder just why Trump fears Gov DeSantis to much. If Trump has what it takes, we'll see in the forthcoming debates.

My money is on RDS, at least for now.

“Hmmm”

First of all, don’t give me the damn “Hmmm” it sounnds so gay.

“...from my memory Ronald Reagan was mostly, if not completely above petty name-calling...”

Reagan developed his style from discussions he had with his friend Jimmie Davis, former governor of Louisiana.

“...and I don’t recall Dubya being nearly as aggressively mouthy as McCain.”

Dubya did not have to personally, he did it through his hired assassin Karl Rove, just like H W did it through his hired assassin Lee Atwater. That enabled both of them to appear noble hearted and above the fray. There are a number of Republican contenders positioned to prseently do the same for your boy DeSantis. And, when he does step in, he will do it himself.

“Mister Trump, indeed, seems quite fearful of Gov DeSantis.”

Mister Trump, indeed, is quite aware that DeSants is a political opponent, and he goes after political opponents.

“If I were advising Trump, I’d suggest he focus on the dozens of major national issues...”

Now this is where I can’t understand people like you with their heads deeply planted up their asses. Have you listened to Trump give any speeches at all?

“If Trump wins the nom, he needs a bigger than big tent.”

Trump won two presidential elections being Trump, got more votes than any other incumbent president in history. If you really thing the old fool got 81 million votes, then you are not worth posting to.

“No matter who wins the GOP nom, that candidate will need all of us to unite to win. Our contenders are good people with similar messages...”

No, they are not. Can you cite one that proclaims MAGA?

Can you name anything that DeSantis has ever done in his life that comes close to what Trump has accomplished, either business wise, politically, financially, etc.? Was DeSantis talking about MAGA when he started his political career. He was a Paul Ryan suck-up.

“The more we attack each other (e.g., “DeSantis-bots” and etc) the less united we become. We are on the same team, we are just not in agreement over who should be our quarterback.”

Who is we? You DeSantis-bots attack Trump everytime you get a chance. As in “avoiding nonsensical boasts.”

It’s not fear from Trump.

DeSantis is this years 2016 Jeb. Or Cruz. Or Rubio..

That’s how he campaigned after he announced in 2015.
When your nation spied on him.
And eventually raided his house.

It’s them that fear Trump

And ‘them’ is the Rs and Ds that comprise the Swamp

MAGA voters aren’t going to abandon Trump.
You R team members feel free to..

Stolen elections have consequences..

“Get re-elected.”

That means you believe Biden got 81 million votes and that means you are an idiot.

Actually, I don't believe he got 81 million votes and the cheat was in. However, RDS damn sure took steps in his state to make sure that the apparatchiks in place where relieved of their duties as election supervisors and tightened up voting roles, and especially not letting the mail in situation get out of hand, with mail-ins given by request only. Result: win Florida by the largest margin in 40 years.

Everyone always said how "purple" Florida was in the years preceding 2018, and his close win in that year is proof. BS. Truth is, Florida was red then, red before then, and red now. The cheat has been going on there since hanging chad days. But the state is so red, Nelson notwithstanding, that Crist had to run GOP to win. Sand we know what he is. Did Trump help in 2018? Yes, it would be stupid to say he didn't. And DeSantis thanked and supported him, and had represented and implemented MAGA in his state more than any other governor that Trump helped get elected. I mean Kemp received his endorsement in 2018, and boned him in the next. Trump dang sure took Florida, and by 4 percentage points, a 2.6 increase in his margin of victory over Hillary. Purple state my ass. And now it is not just a red state, but a freer red state since RDS.

The only thing President Trump is obsessed with is saving America. Anything that risks that is to be attacked strongly. He works for us.

Nothing says “saving America” like a $100k donation to the Clinton Foundation.

“Nothing says “saving America” like a $100k donation to the Clinton Foundation.”

No offense but you are pretty naive if you do not understand why Trump would have done that...assuming that is what you meant. He has explained to us all how the game was rigged and how it was played. He participated in it...what part of that do you have trouble understanding? Or, are you just one of the of the ignorant masses who has no idea about loyalty or self preservation beyond your nose?

There are lots of businessmen in NY. How many gave $100k to the Clinton Foundation? Not many. Occam’s Razor here says Trump just doesn’t care either way about politics and that is why cut a check to the Clintons.

Trump’s J6ers rotting in DC gulag solitary for years were certainly “naive”. They thought Trump would care about them but sadly he went radio silent for over a year and abandoned them.

Nope. Just a 4 time Trump voter with a serious case of buyers remorse.
